GET HOOKED ON THE BEAT
OMAHA – Fans of Benson and those just beginning to discover it now have access to a new community resource – www.BensonBeat.com.
The site, sponsored by the Benson-Ames Alliance, is part of the Maple Street Corridor Project, a collaborative formed to revitalize Maple Street in downtown Benson from Northwest Radial Highway to 64th Street and Military Avenue from Maple to Northwest Radial. The project has three components: a streetscape design that focuses on function and aesthetics, a housing and retail market analysis, and a community branding initiative.
The web site, part of the branding effort, serves as Benson’s new online community that locals can participate in – businesses, residents, civic groups, investors, developers and those simply looking for something to do in Omaha. The site’s two main features – the Benson Community Events Calendar and Benson Profiles – are designed for community use.
Events Calendar
Benson businesses and organizations can submit items to the Benson Community Events Calendar free of charge. For details, visit the “Submit Your Events Here” icon on BensonBeat.com.
Benson Profiles

“BensonBeat.com is a great way for businesses and other groups to advertise their events while helping create a sense of community in downtown Benson,” said Troy Arthur, chair of the Benson-Ames Alliance Business Affairs Committee. “The site will help Benson tell its story.”
