Walking/Online Tour Place Game May 21
May 01, 2009

The goal of the May 21 Place Game is to help area stakeholders develop a walking and online tour of the area.
Omaha by Design and Omaha Main Streets are teaming up to host a Place Game workshop Thursday, May 21, on South 24th Street. The event will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the South Omaha City Hall Meeting Room, 5002 S. 24th Street (enter through the north door). The public is invited to participate.
The goal of this particular workshop is to help area stakeholders and friends of S. 24th Street develop a permanent walking and online tour that showcases the area’s architecture, arts, businesses, history and ethnic cultures.
The Place Game, a free service of Omaha by Design, is an organized way of helping groups brainstorm potential improvements to the public spaces in their corner of the city. In 2009, Omaha by Design will donate a tree to each Omaha group that completes a Place Game and applies for grant funding.
