PLACE GAME FACILITATOR TRAINING AUG. 8 IN COUNCIL BLUFFS
OMAHA – Omaha by Design, in conjunction with the Neighborhood Center, will conduct a training session for Council Bluffs volunteers interested in serving as Place Game facilitators Saturday, Aug. 8. The session will run from 9:00am to noon at the Council Bluffs Community Hall, 205 S. Main St. There is no charge to attend.
The Place Game, a service of Omaha by Design, is an organized way of helping groups brainstorm potential improvements to the public spaces in their corner of the city. It’s a two-hour workshop that focuses on analyzing specific sites within a geographic area. Volunteer facilitators help conduct the workshops.
“The Place Game is a great way for groups to gain consensus on identifying and pursuing individual neighborhood projects that could be funded through grant support,” said Ron Abdouch, executive director of the Neighborhood Center. All Place Game workshops in Council Bluffs will be coordinated through the Neighborhood Center’s Council Bluffs office.
