New Features Added to BensonBeat.com
December 30, 2009
OMAHA – BensonBeat.com is giving users three new reasons to get hooked on the Beat.
The community web site, launched last fall by the Benson-Ames Alliance as part of The Maple Street Corridor Project, has added “Rent the Beat,” “Buy the Beat” and “Park the Beat” sections.
The “Rent” and “Buy” sections feature commercial and residential properties available for rent or sale in Benson, said Paula Glissman, chair of the Benson-Ames Alliance Finance/Development Committee. Realtors and individuals who have commercial or residential properties in Benson for rent or sale can submit their listings free of charge. The “Park the Beat” section features a map of available parking in the downtown Benson area.
To submit a listing:
- Go to www.BensonBeat.com.
- Click on the “Rent the Beat” or “Buy the Beat” icons at the top of the page.
- Click on the “Residential or Commercial Space? Submit Your Listing Here” icon at the top of the page.
- Fill out the appropriate fields and hit “submit.” Photos are encouraged.
All submissions will be reviewed prior to posting. Users should allow 48 hours for a new posting to appear. ”Benson is open for business, and the new web site features reinforce this message,” Glissman said.

The Benson-Ames Alliance, a grassroots group of community leaders formed in 2005 to help plan and implement the revitalization of the city’s Benson-Ames sector, selected downtown Benson as its first priority area. The Maple Street Corridor Project focuses on three components – a new streetscape design, a housing and retail market analysis, and a community branding initiative designed to spark civic pride and investment in redevelopment opportunities. BensonBeat.com is an outgrowth of the branding initiative.
