Wamstad-Evans to Speak at Sustainable Networking Event
December 01, 2009
Kristi Wamstad-Evans, the city’s new sustainability coordinator, will speak at a networking event in Benson Wednesday, Dec. 16.
The evening – sponsored by the Green Omaha Coalition, Verdis Consulting, the Benson-Ames Alliance, Element Distributing and The Pizza Shoppe Collective – will be held from 6 to 8 pm at The Pizza Shoppe Collective, 6056 Maple St. It’s free and open to the public.
Wamstad-Evans will discuss sustainable business practices, and attendees will be able to seek advice on marketing, funding, business planning and community support/networking. In a survey conducted earlier this year, the four topics were identified as the most challenging for local entrepreneurs, small businesses and nonprofits interested in sustainability.
