On Wednesday, June 1, the Riverfront Place development team began another transformation of six-acres of land located just south of the Gallup campus. Ground was broken to start of construction of a 12-story luxury condominium tower and 18 spacious contemporary town homes called Riverfront Place.
The city of Omaha chose Riverfront Place in November 2003 for its unique mix of residential living, green space,
a public plaza, and a commercial site for a riverfront restaurant. At the groundbreaking, Omaha Mayor Mike Fahey said, “This upscale, urban neighborhood on our magnificent riverfront will be one of the first things that you see as you drive into downtown Omaha. It will add to the sense that this is an energetic, vibrant city.”
