The displays were grouped into four general topic areas.
- The first provided an overview of the demographic, housing and business data collected by UNO.
- The second presented three alternative development frameworks one based on the continuation of strip commercial corridors; another modifying strip development based on the current comprehensive plan; and a third presenting an alternative, mixed-use approach based on the Urban Design Element and retail trade zones.

- The final group of displays focused on possible redevelopment in four areas in the Benson-Ames Alliance: North Saddle Creek & Hamilton, Downtown Benson, Ames Avenue from 48th to 60th streets, and 72nd & Military, all of which showed a mix of uses and variety of development options.

The sketches illustrated possibilities based on the features of the particular areas, not specific site plans or designed developments. Workshop participants evaluated the ideas presentedwhat they liked, what they did not like, what was missing, and what needed further explanation. The planning team will spend the next few weeks studying the evaluations and incorporating the conclusions into the plan. |
