Because you live work and play in Omaha, you are the best resource we have to make places that you and your neighbors will use and appreciate. You can help us make great places where people can come together to enjoy a sense of community, to play games, walk, bike, skate, talk politics or enjoy art and nature.

How You Can Help

Stay Informed. Keep up-to-date on great place making in Omaha by joining the Omaha By Design mailing list. We will send you our quarterly newsletter and keep you posted on new programs and activities .

Show and Tell Us About Your Favorite Place. Help us build a photo gallery of the places you love ….. or loathe. Send us your pictures and descriptions for our Hall of Fame, and, our Hall of Shame.

We would like your pictures of places in the Omaha area that you and your family and friends like to visit, use and hang out in. Or pictures of places you hate and won't go near. Send your nominations and a short description of what you like, or dislike, about the space.

Make a Laurels Award Nomination. Laurels Awards from Omaha by Design are presented to individuals, organizations, agencies and businesses that make outstanding contributions to enhance, support or promote quality public spaces. The Omaha Planning Department, First National Bank and the Omaha by Design Place Game Facilitators have received Laurels Awards. Read about their contributions by clicking here. Please help us recognize and honor good works by submitting your nomination to Omaha By Design at 302 South 36th Street, Suite 100, Omaha, NE 68131 or email. Include the name of the individual, organization, address, phone number and a description of the reason for the recognition.
