community spirit in action awards

The Benson-Ames Alliance is currently seeking nominations for its second round of Community Spirit in Action awards.

The awards, which will be presented in two categories – business and volunteer, are intended to recognize individuals and groups for their efforts to further the mission of the Benson-Ames Alliance.

The B-AA is a grassroots group of community leaders formed in 2005 to help revitalize the historic area bound by Western Avenue on the south, Sorensen Parkway on the north, Saddle Creek Road/Fontenelle Boulevard on the east and 72nd Street on the west. Its efforts focus on improving the physical environment by encouraging neighbors, businesses and civic organizations to take a proactive role in making their community a better place. Omaha by Design serves as the alliance’s project manager.
