Bench Marks Project to Beautify Bus Stops with
Public Art
|

Whether you are riding public transportation, walking or just driving by, bus stops are about to get a lot more interesting. Metro Area Transit and the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, are collaborating with local artists and Nebraska writers to create public art for bus benches.

|
The Bench Marks project
features
vivid, poster-like designs showcasing an artistic interpretation of living a healthier life, chasing one’s dreams and the importance of fun in our lives.

|
 |
|
|
|
The citywide public art project,
has converted
one hundred city bus benches into unique pieces of artwork that will surprise and delight. Sponsor names
appear in all bench plaques

Omaha By Design is sponsoring a bench with writer Rebecca Rotert’s phrase “the world is more generous than bleak” with a design by the St. Andrews’ Artists
Co-op
