Group 2 – 61st Street - Maple to NW Maple

What the Place Game Team Liked Best
At the north end of 61^st street participants liked the strong business anchors of Walgreen’s and the bank.  At the south end they appreciated the small alley to alley brick mall with seating and landscaping as well as some recent improvements like new paint.

What Could Be Improved
The group thought  maintenance, signage and sidewalks all needed attention.

Short Term

• Better signage.
• Improve landscaping.
• Increase parking lot maintenance.
• Add trash cans and improve trash pick-up

Long Term

• Increase and improve lighting.
• Repair or replace sidewalks.
• Extend sidewalk improvements from Maple north to the NW Radial Highway
• Install a Benson Gateway at 61^st and NW Radial.
• Add murals and artwork to blank walls.
