What the Place Game Team Liked Best

The team liked the access to transportation, one of the apartment building’s landscaping and saw potential for further development and improvement.

What Could Be Improved

Concerns were expressed about prostitution and other public safety and crime issues.  Vehicular traffic speeds are too high and there is too much litter.

Short Term

• • Update landscaping with plants or shrubs between street and sidewalk.
  • Add stop signs to slow traffic.
  • Clean up litter.
  • Consider painting murals on walls at 1107 and 1060 Park Avenue.
  • Install better signage for directions to Hanscom Park, Birthsite, etc.

  Long Term

• • Encourage better upkeep at apartments.
  • Narrow street with landscaping to calm traffic, renovate sidewalks and add brick intersections and crosswalks with traffic signals.
  • Add signs and historic lighting to help area’s identity.
  • Encourage economic revitalization.
