Brainstorming Session Emerging Themes

The Civic Center Place Game teams’ recommendations and suggestions included:

• Add Shade to the plaza areas to encourage daytime use.
  
• Enhance Color in the plazas with greenery, flowers, banners, canopies and murals.
  
• Encourage Activity on the plazas with programs and events throughout the day such as music concerts, exercise classes, health seminars, board games and movies on one of the walls in the evenings.
  
• Make the Plazas user friendly with elements like a fountain or sculpture that encourages people to touch and climb. Add tables and chairs that accommodate the lunch crowd.
  
• Improve Signage to guide people to their destinations inside the buildings.
