Group 2 - Capitol Avenue from 8th to 13th Streets

What the Place Game Team Liked Best

Place Gamers like the view up the hill toward Central High School, the level terrain and barrier free walkability of the street. They felt there is a lot of potential for 11th Street to become a main pedestrian thoroughfare and the area will become a destination. The team also enjoyed the new streetscape elements being used.

What Could Be Improved

The team observed that Capitol Avenue is not pedestrian-friendly and lacked places for groups of people to sit. They saw few retail businesses and disliked the traffic and lack of unification in the area.
