What the Place Game Team Liked Best

Place Gamers liked the connection to the Leahy Mall and the lower patio area on the building’s east side. They appreciated the trees, bus stop access and the generally walkable nature of the area.

What Could Be Improved

The team disliked the lack of public access to lower patio, poor maintenance and the congregations of street people. They felt it was difficult to identify the building as a library and thought the façade was colorless and looked very institutional.

Short Term

• Provide better and more consistent maintenance.
• Add landscaping and seating.
• Improve signage and banners.
• Introduce more bike racks and place them closer to the doors.

• Use of roof space
• Make lower patio into an attractive public garden.
• Provide for better public access to the lower level.
• Improve signage add color and better lighting.
• Put in more plants.
