Group 5 – Stairs, Corridors and Traffic Flow
What the Place Game Team Liked Best
The group liked the inside/outside interaction moving east to west through the main floor and the small water feature in Books ‘n’ Beans Window. They thought the location of the information kiosk was about right in the center of the pathway.
What Could Be Improved
The team thought the information kiosk, coffee shop and door signage were inadequate and the area in general needed more color and better lighting.
Several features looked unattractive like the small windows admitting little natural light, the enclosed office space in children’s area and the computer cords on the floor. They thought the arrangement of plants in the central corridor needs improvement as well as the uninviting appearance of stairwells.
Short Term
-
Repaint floor descriptions on bridges to
make them more distinctive.

-
Add sculpture and cactus to the rock area
at lower level entrance.
Long Term
-

-
Extend the east entrance for a porch-like feel and better inside/outside connection.
