What the Place Game Team Liked Best

The area was seen as blank slate with a lot of potential. The team felt it is unique with trees to the southeast trees and the slope and length provide a natural shelter.

What Could Be Improved

The Place Gamers saw the site as lacking visibility with potential safety problems when buses and pedestrians mix. They were also concerned about the concentration of bus fumes adding to the areas odors.

Proposed Transit Center

Short Term

• Create indoor waiting area for passengers.
• Design in multiple access points.
• Add kiosks with corporate sponsorships
  for historic displays along walkway that are
  educational, colorful and informative.
• Allocate an area for job fares and
  other information.
• Install ethnic and cultural art.
• Have an open area between 1st and 2nd
  floors to hang banners and put in
  trees that can grow to ceiling height.

Long Term

• Add a water feature and landscaping that
  will block out sound and fumes.
• Provide personal services such as
  restrooms and automated teller machines.
• Put in adequate signage and a directory.
• Utilize visual media kiosks that feature
  television, stock ticker, etc.
• Install a lounge area with couches.
• Design in a vertical feature like
  a clock tower, etc.
• Have a connection to the Livestock
  Exchange Building.
• Provide for a park and ride area.
