Emerging Themes

The Summer Arts Festival Event Game teams' recommendations and suggestions included:

• Improve Signage for the festival. Make signs more visible, consistent and larger.
  
  
  
  
  

• Increase Music during the festival by playing it, either live or taped, at all times. More varieties of music, including local amateur groups, were also suggested.
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  

• Keep the Areas Clean by eliminating overflow of trash. Trash cans need to be decorated, attended to in a timely manner, and the food area needs to be kept clean and sanitary.
  
  
  
  
  
  
  

• More Activities for Children including a "group project" that all children can work on (a mural, building a structure, etc.). A variety of activities need to be added to the festival, with perhaps some of them being free for children. Add historical and learning exhibits for children to explore. Make the area more lively by moving the stage to the Farnam entrance and keeping music playing throughout the day.
